Stories from the ground

The plot everyone had written off

Problem: A 2-acre degraded municipal dumping ground in Wardha Road was producing heavy dust runoff.
People: 120 neighborhood residents, 40 college students, and Parnankur staff.
Action: Soil aeration, organic composting, and planting 1,100 indigenous trees with protective guards.
Result: 89% three-year survival rate, closed canopy in 24 months, and transformed into a public walking grove.
