Why should we plant trees?
Trees provide vital ecosystem services - filtering air pollution, recharging groundwater, preventing topsoil erosion, regulating local temperatures, and supporting native bird and pollinator populations.
Why are indigenous/native trees important?
Indigenous trees co-evolved with local soil microflora, insects, and birds. They survive regional monsoons without long-term chemical fertilizers or artificial irrigation, whereas exotic species disrupt local food webs.
Does planting a tree automatically create a carbon credit?
No. Formal carbon credits require rigorous baseline registration, additionality proof, third-party verification, and international registry listing. Parnankur focuses on real ecological afforestation rather than speculative credit trading.
What is a carbon footprint?
A carbon footprint is the total greenhouse gas emissions (measured in CO₂ equivalent) produced directly or indirectly by an individual, business, product, or event across fuel, electricity, travel, and waste.
What is Net Zero?
Net Zero means reducing your direct greenhouse gas emissions as far as possible through efficiency and clean energy, then balancing any remaining residual emissions with verified carbon removal projects.
How can a company become greener?
Companies can audit energy usage, cut single-use waste, adopt green workplace policies, host employee plantation drives, and fund long-term native afforestation programs under CSR.

You can sponsor an individual sapling for ₹750, which covers pit preparation, organic compost, protective guards, watering, and 3 years of active maintenance with geo-tagged updates.
How long are trees maintained and how are funds used?
Every tree planted by Parnankur is maintained for a mandatory 3 years until root systems reach natural groundwater. All funds are 100% receipted and utilized for saplings, guards, water tankers, and field maintenance staff.
